I always visit the same places in my dreams…

That don’t exist in real life. It seems like I’ve created a whole parallel universe in my head. Lol

My dreams paint highly-detailed images of their locations, indoors or outdoors, but they divide these into two themes:

- They invent totally strange places nothing like anything I have ever seen, but may include a few real people (friends, etc.).

Or...

- They take real places but create very strange, rather surreal versions of them; and these normally include people relevant to the place and my connections to it .

Since dreams are thought to be fleeting side-effects of the brain doing a lot of housekeeping in the archives, so we can expect references to real things, people or personal worries and fears, it's hard to see how Case One occurs.

For Case Two, I have dreamt about work since I retired nearly eight years ago, far more often than when I was at work!

Dreams can be right peculiar but I although I find them fascinating technically - as an aspect of biology - I am very careful not to fall for all that mawkish "dream interpretation" rhubarb.
