Do you ever randomly remember scenes from your dreams?

One recurring dream is that I live in my old student dig again. I open the door, and there it is, my old room. I'm back. A feeling of happiness flows through my body. It's very strange, because, consciously, I would not want to live there again.

I remember falling head first into a deep hole on the beach, unable to get out with the water coming in and the sand collapsing, filling my nose and mouth while I screamed. My arms pinned to my side

Yes, vividly. And I want to go back.

The dreams I remember for a long time are always really horrible. Once I dreamed my children had ran towards an old stone bridge and were climbing on it to look over. Under the bridge was very deep, fast flowing, muddy flood water like you might see in the aftermath of a storm and I was literally terrified for their safety. Another time I dreamed I had a massive gaping hole in my breast. When I woke up I actually had to look at my boob to convince myself it was normal. I don't know what the purpose of these dreams are but it's horrible when it's like that.

I mastered lucid dreaming as a small child and love controlling my dreams, the downside is that I know I'm dreaming and cannot do in them what others do, like flying.
