What's the strangest dream you've ever had?
Well, I once dreamt I was on the African veldt, lost.
I had no idea of which way to go. On one side of me there was a herd of elephants with a big bull elephant looking very menacing, opposite to them was a large tree 馃尦 with a leopard sitting up in its boughs, some wildebeest were close by and also a recently drained waterhole with several buzzards pecking at the mud on the side which was drying rapidly in the hot sun 馃尀.
Suddenly I heard someone approaching me, heavy feet, and scared I turned, there was an elephant calf, who looked at me with that childish sense of fearless enquiry, and as I met it's stare, it tossed it's little trunk up in the air, and with a distinct white Rhodesian voice it asked me, "Are you lost?"
My mind rushed back to my first meander down the Walworth Road alone aged ten, in my little summer frock, when I bumped into a middle aged man under the railway bridge, who asked me the same question!
