What is a dead giveaway that someone grew up in an abusive household?

If a kid's too young to understand right from wrong, they won't understand why you're hitting them.
If a kid is old enough to understand right from wrong, they can reason, try reasoning with them.

@basilfawlty89 I understood right from wrong and I still got into trouble. I grew up just fine.

@basilfawlty89 There's a difference between punishing and abusing. Taking away a childs phone or playstation is hardly punishment.

@shinyplasticlove I very much doubt that. I think you just haven't really examined yourself, and assume you do just fine because your trauma happens to help you fit in with the society you enjoy. But the fact of the matter is, you are traumatized.

@LordShadowfire I seriously doubt I am traumatized. If anything would have traumatized me it would have been getting bullied in Elementary, middle, and high school.

@shinyplasticlove I didn't think I was, either. I used to be like you, in fact. I would tell people that my parents spanked me and I was just fine. It wasn't until someone pointed it out to me that everyone who says that has some kind of anger management problem that I put two and two together.
