Sardines and Crackers. pork & beans
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
I never ate them for the first 70 or so years of my life, then I tried them -- for health reasons -- and I've come to like them, either with some malt vinegar or Italian dressing on them.
@ChipmunkErnie hahah i thought that said malt liquor
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@TryingtoLava No, gave up alcohol years before I tried sardines.
@ChipmunkErnie <3 good
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
They're a regular part of my diet. Often in brine, could be tomato sauce, but nearly always on toast.
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
Good stuff. Add some lemon juice, mustard or hot sauce any you have a real delicacy.

Sardines are great! Glad you went through the experiment!

I'd eat them just because I'm hungry. Fish is good for your brain.

Imo sprats are better and they have the same health benefits. =D

I like sardines too. 🤔I think I was a cat in the past life .
ArishMell · 70-79, M
You can find heathily foods you also enjoy! :)
I like them with hot sauce.
RebelRaven · 51-55, F

Have you tried mustard?
You can take vitamins ya know
Cremosa · F
@TryingtoLava the same reason people force themselves to exercise. It sucks until you see results.
Also, I figured out it’s not that bad after trying it.

The next step is kippered sardines or herring.
StygianKohlrabi · 46-50, M
I would eat them straight from the can or not at all
Cremosa · F
@StygianKohlrabi yeah I’m too lazy to make it fancy tbh 😂
SinlessOnslaught · M
Wtf kind of health benefits does that have
JSul3 · 70-79
@SinlessOnslaught
Sardines are an exceptionally healthy, nutrient-dense superfood packed with omega-3 fatty acids, protein, calcium, vitamin D, and vitamin B12. They support heart and brain health, reduce inflammation, and are low in mercury compared to other fish. Eating them 2–3 times a week is recommended for maximum benefit.
