Day 3..wow what a day
Work today got crazy!
Monday was day one, orientation, 7 hrs of videos on safety.
1 hour of process and procedures..i didnt know magnesium was flamable..or that machines can have 25 different parts to make one car part!
Day two on Tuesday was nasty..they had me srcub, mop, and spray metal shavings from a huge machine and i was COVERD head to toe in hydraulic pump fluid..i felt greasy enough to be a well oiled machine!
Today, was day 3. My trainer was named Jose hes 5 ft tall, im 5 ft 9! I towered over him and he spoke broken English and lots of Spanish cuss words..i kept setting off the emergency panel with my chest!
They had to raise the platform after the 4th emergency shut down..i felt embarrassed but i made quota, 275 parts in 8 hrs! Although i upset Jose, he informed me i did good keeping it in the green, now as for the platform..yeah ill keep my chest out of the way! Who knows what tomorrow brings? I like the fact they pay waaaay better than my last job of 5 yrs, but..the labor is intense!
