You can be thankful you're still very young and you can turn this around, for sure. Mistakes are not our enemy. They're not there to hurt us, but to help us realize that this is the way we learn and grow in life...ALL through life. When we know better, we do better, so don't beat yourself up, because we're all in the same boat. What's great about challenges like this, is that they are great warning signals that something is wrong in our lives and definitely needs to be changed. While it's tempting for every one of us to look back and regret our past, we can be thankful that it taught us a good lesson(s), so we don't repeat the same mistakes. And even the reason we feel like failures, is not because of the mistake, but because life actually gives us a gift. It helps us remember our bad choices, so we don't hurt ourselves by repeating them. It's a safety mechanism. Our mind trying to protect us. It actually helps improve our lives.
Nothing is ruined. Tomorrow is a new day and you can start brand new, only with much better understanding. God has given us great resiliency and imagination. We are great problem solvers, and the best thing is, we can change things up when we don't like something, so we shouldn't underestimate that gift. We're not losers at all! We get another chance, and that's pretty awesome and exciting!

Girl you realised so fast that you made a mistake!
It took me few years to see through mine.
Guess what.. we're human, we're MEANT TO make mistakes, meant to go for the things we desire and meant to fail, just as much as we're meant to succeed. You're too young for continuing living life in remorse.
Forgive yourself. Slowly.
And look forward.
I'm telling you what I've been telling myself... and others been telling me..to look ahead.
You're not a Deadgirl ...

In my experience, baggage never goes away. It just stays there and occasionally pops out of the blue like a gut punch. I find acceptance and equanimity can ease that burden and they appear less.
Me personally, I find models of coping and living that help ease the burden. Being thoughtful without clouds of anxiety makes me feel like I live a full life.

Grow up from your mistakes and the important is not to make them again in the future. Learn something from them, be strong and remember that for every action, there is a reaction.
Dwelling in the past is not going to bring you anywhere. As a matter of fact, it will make you stay where you are. You cannot turn back time. Look towards the future. What is done is done.

Sometimes mistakes from the past can help us on long term but it can take time and efforts to see it that way

Me too, I would love to turn back time and prevent my sister from walking home the day she was hit by a car

Dwelling will only make it worse. The only way is forward. You got this.

Sadly we can only change the present. Do what you can to fix mistakes if they need repairing, and move on.

Kamal does that to people
