When was the last time you mistakenly waved at someone?

I feel like no matter how old i get, i never stop being embarrassed at this. LOL
i'm always smiling, so sometimes i think someone is giving me a friendly little wave, but then they walk past me...🙈

A while back, a neighbour pulled over in their car and their young son waved at me from the back seat. I thought they'd stopped for me, so I climbed into the car. The father was surprised and asked me what I was doing. It turned out he was waiting for his wife. His child had just recognised me and waved to me. They hadn't stopped to offer me a ride home at all.
