Because emotional bonds can be complex.. But once you know their true nature, you can't ignore that.. 😐

No, in answer to both of your questions. What one needs to do is begin the detachment process to separate yourself from that evil person, a process that is basically the same as when someone begins their end of life journey and begins to detach emotionally from all of their family members and close friends. Then, have no contact with them and never look back.
