We don't have to sugarcoat the danger and risks letting people in brings, especially when allowed in the vicinity of our most precious people.
I do not stand for making someone feel bad for not doing what a crowd of people pleaser would call nice. Don't aim for nice. Just aim decent. That is good enough in my opinion, and certainly better than most already.
A decent parent is what you would be by making that choice.
