It would certainly be something for a mind and nervous system to adapt to. Essentially you're telling this person that their entire reality is fake.

There's a statistic in the USA that in facing a threat en masse, 15% of people will freeze in fear, 15% will fight, and 60% will flee. I would argue that there's probably similar proportionality in your situation of telling someone that everything they've ever experienced was created synthetically. The majority of people would react to that by dismissing and denying it and never revisiting it again.

A smaller amount of people would obsess over the idea in ways specific to their personality, maybe leaning toward fighting or fleeing, or somewhere in between.

And a similar amount of people would confront the idea and attempt to find evidence proving it. Given your scenario that it would be true, would they find out that their reality is in fact artificially implanted?

I guess to answer your question quickly and simply, personally... I would probably freeze in fear with the idea that my whole life is a lie and possibly never recover.
