My friend farted loudly as soon as we stepped outside the doors of a restaurant and we both got stared at.

We are both grown adults.

We ate at a fairly nice restaurant and as soon as we stepped outside the door, he farted loudly and started fanning his ass and laughing. I was a few steps ahead of him and already on the other side of the vehicle, so I didn't see it and heard a noise but wasn't sure what it was, but then when he caught up to the vehicle, I noticed someone glaring at us. It was then my friend told me what happened.

It was pretty embarrassing but we left. What would you think if you were me? Would you find this disrespectful and want to have a talk about manners, would you laugh it off, or would you just leave in embarrassment? I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of afraid something like this will happen again when someone I know happens to be there.
