what happens to all the wonderful books when library's are closed

[c=7700B2][i]here in the uk, you often hear now of libraries shutting down, a really sad thing, but all the sacred books in the libraries? what happens to them? because many of them are irreplaceable, it would be a travesty if they destroyed the books.[/i][/c]

I think the reason that "the powers" have it in for books is two fold -

Like @calicuz mentioned - they cannot make continuous money off them. You buy a book once, learn from it, there are no ads, and you can pass it on to someone else who may be interested.

Even when books do have ads, they are not invasive and usually relevant. Like the last few pages showing what other books on the subject the publisher has available.

Even bigger though is "the powers" want you to see and hear what THEY want you to instead of gaining knowledge elsewhere.
