I'm a terrible worrier, but I try to focus.
There are things completely outside of my control
There are things I can influence, but not control
There are things I can control

I categorise my worries into one of those and try to put my most of my effort into things I can control and a bit of effort into the influencing category

I find by categorising I get a bit of control
Purplerain78 · 41-45, F
@Spectre128 Yes I could see how that could help 🤔
Spectre128 · 51-55, M
@Purplerain78 I find just writing down what's worrying you then categorising is a help, getting things down on paper sort of gets them out of your mind.

Your SW friends are also there to listen to your worries too

You can worry yourself into an early grave with the unknown... As someone once said, of all the terrible things i ever imagined in life, none of them happened to me.... There's a lesson in there
Purplerain78 · 41-45, F
@Convivial True statement.
Torsten · 36-40, M
I believe firmly in fate and whatever happens was meant to happen.
When bad things happen, i deal with it at that time. I dont worry about such things beforehand though, meaning as though i try not to stress or worry bout things I have no control over.
Purplerain78 · 41-45, F
@Torsten I agree with you, everything happens for a reason. I just wish all the challenging things didn't come at once lol. I figure life isn't meant to be easy and those challenges throughout life can only make us stronger 💪
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Purplerain78 thats it. Life is not meant to be easy and when challenges come our way, we either get stronger from them or crumble from it all

There is so much that is unknown. The next moment is unknown. Trying not to anticipate is part of true freedom, which can help make the present moment more life giving.

"All shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well"

Letting go of all our beliefs and simply having a pure faith in those words can be truly liberating and transformative.

Just one take on the Hsin Hsin Ming ("Faith in Mind")

The Great Way is not difficult for those who have no preferences. When like and dislike are both absent, everything becomes clear and undisguised. Make the smallest distinction, however, and heaven and earth are set infinitely apart. If you wish to see the truth, then hold no opinions for, or against, anything. To set up what you like against what you dislike is the disease of the mind. When the deep meaning of things is not understood, the mind's essential peace is disturbed to no avail.

Just to say, the last couple of days have been truly trying.

All the very best to you all.

I try not to worry as generally everything always works out for me in the end.
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
Deal with it head on and keep on trucking.

{@purplerain78] vert true you can be thrown the unexpected crippler but if that is the case nothing much you can do about it but deal with it the best way you can 🤷‍♂️
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
Well, it's not easy. I was caught very offguard recently. Sometimes I have a hard time feelin safe for that reason.
I need to devise a solution or work around before I can sleep.
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
I look at what's around me,the life I've built, and think on that,to calm myself down, and get back to reality. That Soon stops any way wood thoughts or imagining various ways to get back at people I don't Like !!!..
I think we all are a bit of both though..
Purplerain78 · 41-45, F
@HotPizza71 Revenge? Isn't that wasted energy? Personally I let Karma do its work. Those who do you wrong in life always get their comeuppance in the end 😂
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
@Purplerain78 my mind wonders into the revenge mode, but I reign that in,and yes,I agree,Karma is definitely how I let myself get rid of any unlawful thought's lol
