@Patientlywaiting did you wait until you were 16 to decided who you were and who you were attracted to and the things you liked to wear?

No. You did not. Stop being afraid of normal things.
@JaggedLittlePill I knew it at 12. And it’s just unicorns, right? Not like it’s gay porn. lol

@DarkHeaven Kids at school can be unbelievably cruel and especially when you stand out as being slightly different. At age five, most kids are not aware of how others will respond to what they wear. What might be 'just a unicorn top' could also completely unravel friendships and their security at school, potentially causing some lasting trauma and issues with their education if they start getting bullied. I'd be trying to go for unisex clothes until they were old enough to really know how they felt and knew what the consequences might be.

@Patientlywaiting It might be worth a conversation at that point discussing that some people think pink and unicorns are for girls and what do they think? I can’t save kids from all abuse and bullying they may or may not get from other kids in general. I can teach them to be strong and stand by their convictions however. If what you are doing, you are doing with the child’s safety in mind, I can’t exactly fault you, even if I don’t quite agree with it. Be safe and be well.
