Yes. Just Another one of those nonsense mainstream sayings / cliché's. Blah.

@Magenta it's just BS hehe 😁 oh be thankful for the shitty circumstances and smile? Nope, things get messed up and it's not like that hehehe the outcome is important

@SW-User 😄 Exactly! That's reality not some fantasy illusion.
Thank you.
Thank you.

True. I believe it depends how long it’s been and how someone is coping too. We all handle things differently. I remember at my mom’s funeral some distantly related woman came to me and told me to be grateful. It felt so inappropriate. I know she meant well, but telling people how to feel is kinda shitty.
SW-User
@SW-User what a really shitty thing to say, that woman!!! Some people idk what they have in their head
SW-User
@SW-User @SW-User That’s a really stupid thing for her to say. She must be delusional or have a very low IQ. 😵
SW-User
@SW-User yeah or one of those overly positive people that live in a kind of fantasy land

Sometimes you can’t feel thankful after being hurt. They just want to sugar coat the pain we went through.
Viper · M
That's very true, but maybe we can be thankful that we survived the situation, and the situation didn't end it all?
SW-User
@Viper that's a better way to put it
kodiac · 22-25, M
Just like the what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.what a load of crap.
SW-User
@kodiac yeah BS, it makes you carry too much trauma that can affect you a lifetime so yeah, just like you say it
kodiac · 22-25, M
@SW-User I feel like I'm whats left after the battle ended, not stronger .
Grateful4you · M
I practice gratitude. That does not need imply Hearts and flowers, Pollyanna platitudes, or a eternal happy dance. I get angry, I get hurt and depressed. I'm just as subject to being human as the next guy.
I understand my need for balance and for that I'm very grateful.
