Does peoples comprehension of things get better as they get older ?

I realized that even a few months ago there were things i couldnt understand or comprehend, like movie plots or certain situations but fast foward a few months or years and I understand it better, does that have something to do with out brains developing more as we get older ?

not exactly, just things can be more understandable the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and so on time around. I would say when you get super old you get more senile though
