My issues are due to trust and making the mistake in putting too much into people I should've never been involved with to begin with . Lesson learned ...

Yes when I fall into depression I do this, I isolate and I become distant and it's not healthy for me. Trying to catch myself before I hit the total isolation stage now.

Yup. I don't really let many people get close to me anymore.

After a lifetime of "friends" walking out of my life and disappearing, I'm a lot more careful about the connections I make.

I do believe Social media contributes to this and to desensitization among a host of other things.

This can backfire in some cases.
