Why are scholarships so ridiculous and impossible to get?

I’ve applied to so many of them but never get anything except have people sell my information to spam callers. I’m currently trying to write about the history of shaving just to try and get one. How the hell am I supposed to write a minimum of 500 words about shaving!? 😭🤬🤬😑

@Northwest it’s some kind of scholarship that asks you to write about a topic they selected and this time it’s shaving. Last time it was a chair…. Idk why.
