My professional assessment of news shows transitioning from one to another...

The latest trend of news anchors signing off from one show to transition to the next one with a lot of personal banter back and forth is annoying as hell. I'm not interested in the personalized social chit chat.

I agree. And not just the transitioning. Even the stories have become what I call "feel good" stories.

Wonder if a group letter protest would help since this whole thing started with people complaining about all the "negative" stories back in the 80s and 90s.

@DeWayfarer That's not a bad idea. I didn't know there was an originating cause, but I guess that makes sense.

@MarkPaul Simon and Garfunkel song silent night to the news of the 60s started it. Yet they didn't do anything until the 80s.

Notice that's the end of the news. Now days anything worthwhile is only on the first 10 minutes. The rest you can just turn it off.
