Facebook and Google might have to pay for news content soon, which means they'll ban unsanctioned news content on their platform

Soon you're going to have to radicalize your own damn kids

Google have done a deal in Principle in Australia to pay the news services who provide content. Facebook on the other hand just pulled all the news content from OZ sources from their site. Along with a heap of govt. information sites, the weather bureau and hundreds of local charities and community groups and Hospital information sites in the middle of a pangemic. They succeeded in p*$$ing off the government and the community and created an anti Facebook backlash. I smell an opportunity for another player to step up.😷

I hope a boycott is coming up. Facebook was arguing the case that their users shouldn't be given the option to opt out of their data being sold. To hell with Facebook
