after calculating taxes and consulting a financial advisor I’d be looking to buy some land. I would love to have greenhouses, maybe two. I want to be able to raise foods year round & not have to use pesticides. I watched a video about a man in Alliance, Nebraska who has a greenhouse & uses geothermal energy to heat it in the winter, he grows fruit & veggies year round. It would cost quite a bit to get the set up but would be very rewarding.

@cherokeepatti That is a well thought answer. And a really cool idea.

Not likely, since I don't buy tickets for myself. But if someone happened to GIVE me a ticket, and if I won more than a dollar, (which is what most people win), I'd consult a very nice man who still belongs to my church, who is very good at financial advising.
I would want to ensure that I had a very nice place to live, with someone to do my chores, and take care of me...(maybe two or three people, 🤣). Primarily I don't want to burden my son with my care when I grow too old to care for myself.
If I won a sick, ridiculous amount, then I would arrange for my son and his family to live in comfort also, and I would donate as much as could to build smart homes for wounded warriors, and to the St. Joseph's Indian School near Pine Ridge.

Once I hired a financial consultant, (Make sure you pay the taxes) I would pay off bills and buy a house. Then, I would start donating the rest.

Go see a tax attorney to determine the most advantageous way to take direct or indirect ( ie through a trust) possession of the funds.

And if there was enough left maybe buy a small cottage with a view of the sea.

I'd help a few out, but in a discrete way. Then I'd retire from work and live a happy life with a few animals and travel. I'd make sure my winnings were put to good use and brought happiness to many.

Repent for my gambling sins then give the money back.
NoGamesTolerated · F
@TheArbitrator I totally understand. Yeah it’s always been considered gambling to me too. When I see very poor people stand in line to get school lottery tickets 20-50 dollars at a time I smh... must be the thrill of winning a few dollars that they’ve paid for many times over...
TheArbitrator · 36-40, M
@NoGamesTolerated 😂 that's right. If they added up all the money they've wasted on those tickets, they should be upset. Even when people win big, nothing good comes from it. Did you see the special on Dr. Phil where all the lottery winners either went broke, died, developed diseases or had their families torn apart? One younger guy was murdered by a golddigger because she wanted to possess his winnings.
NoGamesTolerated · F
@TheArbitrator I’ve read horror story after horror story. “Nothing good comes from it”!
caesar7 · 61-69, M
I have too many to mention....and that is a reasonable amount of a winning...not the POWERBALL...did I here $750,000,000 dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is insane!!!!!!!!!!!
