What's the first thing you'd do if you won the lottery?

I would take an amount equivalent to the taxes and set it aside in a separate account. In consultation with a Certified Financial Planner, I might purchase a few annuities with roughly 30% of of the post tax winnings. 25% would go into a no load indexed mutual fund and another 10% to the local food closet with the remainder I would combine with my other liquid assets and travel the world with enthusiasm and joy 🤗@Stereoguy

I would take a cheap flight in economy plus to a cruise port in my country. Because I am not a fan of long tedious international flights I know I could enjoy taking a cruise ship to interesting countries I haven’t been to yet. Once there I would take the best cheap means of travel to my loosely planned itineraries. I would rent cool air BnBs and I would alternate expensive countries with cheaper ones so that I could afford to travel indefinitely. @Stereoguy

Also I would find an adventurous travel companion with great enthusiasm and average energy levels for my age to accompany me because my husband who I love dearly absolutely refuses to travel. Traveling, staying a
Month or more in each country, learning the essentials of the language and getting to know knowledgeable guides, take cooking classes in the local cuisine...try local pleasures such as an onsen in Kyoto I wish to revisit.
