Can we all just get along?

I don't understand why some people put all Christians into one category. We are not all the same. I may be a Christian, and I am also a human being with flaws just like everyone else. I don't think of myself as better than anyone. I wish that we could all just agree to disagree like adults.

Because humans are good at making assumptions.. And we need to generalize things to make better assumptions.

When you don't know about Hindus, and want to understand them, what they think, how they see the world/things, etc. Then you met a Hindu, you start observing them and also start creating an image about Hindu people. When you meet a Hindu next time, you recalls that image in your mind. And if that person sounds similar to the first one, the image gets more clear and strong in your brain, although your perception might be totally wrong and those two persons have different views than a typical true Hindu. But we are very good at making assumptions. Only few understands that everyone IS different.

It would be nice if we could. I've never found it difficult to "live and let live" but some people seem to have a real problem with others living differently from them. 🤷‍♂️

Exactly! It’s sad to see so much tension between people, especially the rising tension amongst Christians. It would be really nice if people weren’t so public about their disagreements, it really only creates chaos.
@WanderingThrough Exactly. All it does is just cause drama.
Well, you think you know better than everyone else. So there’s that. I mean you specifically, not all Christians.
@LeopoldBloom Well you seem to know me better than I know my own self, despite the fact that we don't actually know each other 😁.
@latinbutterfly Sorry, I confused you with someone else who has a similar profile photo.
@LeopoldBloom Bahahaha...
YOu have got to agree that there is a good number of christians who can't and won't accept the reasons why people don't have a religion or a faith, or dont believe in heaven or hell. Calling people names or doubting their intelligence is not the way anyone gets another person to change their mind, no matter what it is.
@jackieash Exactly. That just leads to anger, frustration, drama, and more name calling.

@jackieash Obviously, but people don't have any control over how other people think. Christians who don't think that way shouldn't be lumped into the same category as people who do think that way. The same logic can be applied to atheists. There are atheists who understand that people think differently than they do and they accept that. Then there are those who are rude and belittle people for their spiritual beliefs. It's not only Christians who act in this way, it literally happens in every 'group' of people.

Those christians to keep themselves to themselves don't worry me. It's those who try to force their views onto others or dictate how we live our lives that I object to.
SubstantialKick · 36-40, M
There are even Christians who look down on other Christians that don't live the way they do.
@SubstantialKick I know just what you mean.

It's okay to debate about religion but the problem arises when they're being disrespectful. We don't have to agree but let's be respectful.

Christians who knock on people’s doors to proselytize or campaign to change laws to suit their beliefs aren’t agreeing to disagree or living and letting live, unfortunately. Those are the things that still trouble me.

@bijouxbroussard I agree with this too.

There's an old saying:
"Christians aren't less flawed or less foolish than other people. Just forgiven."
@greenmountaingal Either everyone is forgiven, or no one is. Christians aren’t special.
LoveTriumphsOverHate · 36-40, M
Doesn't matter if you're Christian or non-Christian.@greenmountaingal Right is right and wrong is wrong.
Yes it’s foolish to say “everyone in this group behaves like this” but people don’t stop doing it.

Because people, are idiots.
