I’m not sure about Trump supporters....but I do wonder why the severity of COVID-19 cases seem to be occurring the most in Blue states? NY and NJ and CA are certainly not hotbed locations for Trump supporters but seem to have the highest infection rates. So maybe the question should be: Why are liberal states experiencing the highest infection and mortality rate from COVID-19?

@DukeOfEarle Hmmm 🤔

@DukeOfEarle I wonder if NJ being in the top most densely populated state have anything to do with it? 🤔
And NY probably is the most populated of them all might be a reason too. 🤔
Ohhh, I see your point tho, Wyoming has the fewest COVID19 deaths and they’re a Red state. 🤔

Point is viruses don’t give a damn about politics. People in general aren’t taking this seriously enough. All of you, red or blue? Wash your hands, keep hand sanitizer on hand, use a real mask if you can get your hands on one, keep your distance from others and please for God’s sake, if your mother is over age 51? See her next year for Mother’s Day. The last thing you want to do is infect her and have to live with that knowledge for the rest of your life should she die. @SimplyTracie

@DukeOfEarle Population density and lifestyles that include meeting places

True. So one would think they would be super extra cautious about staying away from densely crowded places, wearing masks, washing hands, distancing, removing shoes before entering their homes...in fact they are warned every commercial break on radio and TV. But yet they have the highest cases in the nation. Again these are blue states, not Trump voters, who have the highest infection and mortality rates. So I think it’s pretty easy to conclude liberal states ARE NOT following protocols. If they were that map would NOT look like that. @whowasthatmaskedman

@DukeOfEarle I’m curious, what state do you hail from?
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@DukeOfEarle Guess what state Trump come from? 😱

PA. I left NY a long long time ago. My family had enough of NY State taxing the business out of existence. @SimplyTracie

@SimplyTracie And that means what exactly?

@DukeOfEarle Means nothing. Just like your red/blue logic means nothing. Whether your a Trumpet or not means nothing. Cannot draw a conclusion based on the color of your state.
Hawaii is blue as can be and we’re controlling the pandemic as best as any other red state.

Oh but it does. Let’s return to the post. It says “Why do Trump supporters continue to downplay and deny the severity of COVID-19?” The map from the New York Times seems to be CLEARLY show that LIBERAL states are the ones that are downplaying and denying the severity of COVID-19. Have you looked at the map? Seems like a lot of people in NY, NJ, CT, MA, VT...all Blue and LIberal states are VERY infected. Seems to me that the people in those states are clearly downplaying and denying the severity of COVID-19. @SimplyTracie

@DukeOfEarle Looks like the northeastern states and Michigan and Illinois are hot spots.
But it’s not indicative of their aloofness of the pandemic. Is it? I read about Texans screaming and protesting the lockdown.

Could be. Illinois is a blue state. @SimplyTracie
