When will this end?

Just found out that COVID-19 cases in my city have rapidly increased. Now it's being reported that the mayor and the Chief of police have caught the virus. Not good.

It should level off as immunity rises... though its going to kill a lot of people along the way first.

@HootyTheNightOwl Stay alive!
@purplepen I should be good... I've been isolated since 2 weeks before the lock down was bought in for me.

I'm trying not to budge, though my back may be against the wall with that right now. We are getting low on supplies and don't have anyone prepared to deliver any to us. If the state won't help me, then I will have to go out whether I want to or not.

@HootyTheNightOwl OK. Smaller stores sometimes have more supplies.
@purplepen I was thinking of sticking to smaller stores if I have to break isolation, too... I figure that they are more local to me and shouldn't have as many people in, thus reducing my chances of encountering someone with the virus.

I'm still not fully over the chest infection that caused me to get isolated in the first place... so I'm more keen than most people to avoid the virus.

@HootyTheNightOwl I had a flulike infection 3 times this past winter, turning into a chest cough, but it got better before the Covid outbreak was supposed to be in Canada. I took OTC medicine.
@purplepen Both my husband and I have noticed that the isolation seems to be making our asthma more unstable than usual.

I won't be too surprised if we have to call for an ambulance before this lock down is over. Hopefully, they will give us a nebuliser and leave us isolating at home rather than taking us to hospital.

@HootyTheNightOwl @purplepen I've had randomly things like the sniffles and a scratchy throat in the past 4 weeks, but nothing else has happened. Maybe I've been dodging some been bullets.
