Sure
Instead of parades blocking the roads with rebel flags and black lives matter
I encouraged the young people I know to put their voices to power and go for a bill protecting their lives and their freedom
But while some still blocked the roads and made people mad ,others went on to get bills voted into laws ,,and now all their monuments are being removed .

I do not support racism in any form ,,but you can't remove it by removing reminders of our dark past ,,we learn by remembering ,changing laws
and vowing to never repeat those mistakes again ,,,

Rewriting history and removing memorials will only accomplish one thing

History ignored ,is history repeated

They would have been smarter getting petitions signed and carried to the hill ,
a push for a bill that protects the lives of all Americans ,
not just black or white ,,but all Americans

We have a dark history ,,,if we don't look back and learn from it
We will repeat it ,,,our finest laws all began with a dream and a petition
@rckt148 Respectfully, one can put them in museums where they belong, not fly them on public state buildings supported by everyone’s taxes. In terms of private citizens flying them on their property, that’s up to the individual. I protested against the Confederate flag when I lived down South. To me it’s the equivalent of the swastika and always will be.

@bijouxbroussard I personally agree ,,this has been a heated topic with my grandson and I ,,,his grandma on his Dads side has filled his head so full of all this "Southern Heritage "stuff ,,,but he is finally coming around ..

I would not want any monument of Dr Kind molested ,no more then Mount Rushmore ,or stone Mountain Ga.

To many would rather fight over a statue that has stood through the 70 and 80 when we all were finally putting the pain of the 60's to rest .

My Uncle hired the first black police officer in the state ,first female officer and she went on to be the first female chief of police in the state ,we finally had a black mayor (a lady I love like a Mom who calls me son )

We have a blue and gray reenactment every year in our city ,,its so the people remember where we were ,and how far we have came

Russia played a huge part in the Trump /Clinton campaign with flooding social media with hate and division ,,Face Book admitted it ,Google and Twitter
but the American people still deny it

Its hard to calm bees once you stir them ,,it takes smoke
Sadly ,,to many think the smoke needed is burning down the cities they live in
Just as it was in the 60 and again in the 90's

We have done more to unite this country with love in action
then we will ever do destroying monuments ,thats all I am saying

I managed to get my grandson to understand ,by taking him and letting him talk to friends of color ,,then I ever would have forbidding him to have one

The hate mongers sell more where he bought that one ,,,I had to change him
The flag would only be a symbol of a problem ,,,I needed to fix his heart

Thank God ,I finally won ,,,now he is sharing the message with his friend

They killed my Lord with a cross ,,I can't out law crosses
I have to teach forgiveness

No but I was walking through the Wal-mart parking lot one day and some strange man snuck up on me asking me to sign. I got scared and put the cart between us and asked him to go away. Not the way to handle things and I was very suspicious.
@curiosi Thats odd 🤔 i remember asking a lady in a parking lot to sign some-...uh oh

I have before, yes. Never again though. I don't believe petitions work.
