Do you like going to the movies?

Here's an idea: we'll start a movie theater chain called, "Shut Up And Watch The Damned Movie"

Going to the cinema reminds me why I hate people, for all the reasons you've described.

I can see or download any movie I like ,burn it to a disc
but once in a while I like going to the movies and seeing it on the big screen ,
One of the advantages of being me ,is most people take me seriously when I speak
and if not ,I am not beyond having them removed ,,
When I pay that much money to see a movie ,I plan on enjoying it
and management will normally back you if someone is disrupting the movie ,
As to them eating ,,,somethings you just have to learn to tune out
I hate my neighbors dog barking all the time ,,but I have 2 options
Shoot the dog and go to war with my neighbor ,,,or tune it out
My Grandparents lived next to a rail road ,,some things you know you can't do anything about ,,so you learn to live with it ,or stay miserable
But when you spend that much money at a movie ,,management is pretty good about asking those with no consideration for others to leave ,,
They know you paid a lot of money ,,and they want you to come back
Don't tolerate it ,,find an usher ,ask them to just see whats going on
they will deal with it ,,,People who keep talking ,,
Normally just me asking "Do you mind ? I am trying to hear the movie " takes care of it
But I do watch most shows and movies off the net
My surround sound sounds pretty good ,and everything now days is in High Def
But nothing beats the big screen for the complete effect
I miss drive ins ,,a pic for mosquito's ,the sound come through your cars system
it was an experience I miss ,,there are still some around
But I am not driving 100 miles to see a movie ,,i can wait until its on the net

Your reasons are spot on. This is why I like to go to matinee movies on a school day.

same here, I'd rather go out and eat somewhere rather than go to the movies .. I generally watch at home with friends or alone, I also complain about the same things at the movies especially the eating disorders people have there lol, the sound of popcorn being eaten is louder than the movie itself

And the stink of popcorn !!!

I love to go when a new movie comes out. Though I am trying to save money by getting a new movie on DVD since tickets and food can get expensive.

But when I do go, being in a theater with a lot of people does not bother me, unless it’s a kids movie. In that case, I might go late or on a weekday when school is in.

Absolutely but for all the reasons you noted, I’ll always go to the first showing at my theater.. which is usually 11 am

I don't think I've ever had the rude patrons experience that I can recall. But I haven't been to a movie for a couple of years. What stopped me was the price of tickets and food and drink and then they show commercials. They can go pound sand.

In sweden people are usually respectfully quiet in cinemas. I rarely go, since I don't care too much about the experience nor do I have anyone fun to go with. However when I do go it's something I know I will enjoy.

I am very tolerant.. I really don't mind... and am usually just so into the film that I don't even notice.

I actually like the movies but yes it's expensive just buy popcorn
