When customer service disappears

I have noticed the lack of customer service in big chain shops these days. No wonder they will disappear in the online shopping world. However we'll still need customer service more than ever. But because it's easier to make everything impersonal, online shopping can be a great way for dealers to avoid good customer service, especially if you have a problem with your purchase. Has anyone ever experienced the same, especially as it comes to electronics?

I agree that customer service is a lost art.There are a few blokes who give a damn about their customers and I patronize their businesses whenever I can.To hell with the rest;I'll take my chances online.
