I'm British and believe Harry can marry whom he likes. I do question the whole concept of having a monarchy in this day and age. It costs taxpayers a fortune to maintain the monarchy in its glamourous and wealthy lifestyle yet we still have much homelessness and other social issues to address.

The monarch is not the leader now and hasn't been since parliament was created to run the country.
Yes, those elected are chosen by the people which is a reasonable and democratic process. The monarchy members are just sitting tenants, so to speak, and are there by 'right' so the people have no say - that's about as undemocratic as it gets.
