No, but on the opposite side of the coin I have had credit taken away from me for something that truly was my idea. One memorable instance: In the Company I used to work for, I drew a simple (but understandable) floor plan of how the WIP Store should be laid out in a simple fashion that anyone could understand. Everyone had to ask someone else where the stocks were located; it was a total disaster. I handed the floor plan in.
Six months later, we each received an internal Memo to say how the Stores was beginning to change and that a plan would be put on the Noticeboard. When it arrived, I looked at it. It was a professional plan, but the entire essence of the drawing was what I had proposed and the name John Whitely was credited with the concept; John Whitely being the Store Manage who I had given my detailed plan / idea to. If John Whitely is here in SW? ... Then shame on you? ... LOL 😆
(Still, humour aside that's a true event)

All through school, I was relentlessly warned about plagiarism. So I’m pretty good about attributing my sources.
I once went to my high school reunion and told everyone I invented Post-It notes.

@PinHead Then you winked and said...."Nailed it....didn't I?"
@MartinTheFirst SILENCE MORTAL!
@SW-User I see what you did there...and I'm deeply troubled that you would make fun of my head disability
Lol ... many times
... but, I did let one lady have a date with me to balance the score ... so, I must be a good guy!

Yes, my grandma's amazing baking.

SW-User
@Scarboroughfair 😍 What's the prized baking item in your repertoire?

SW-User
No, not my style.

@SW-User Denial....I've seen plenty use that one before 😂

I once said that it was my turd on the ground, but it wasn't. I just wanted the ground all to myself.

@MartinTheFirst 🙄 It's easy...just watch.
Today you're alive because I got out of bed. Kim Jong Un has been monitoring me and he told himself that if I stayed in bed today he would launch his secret barrage of nuclear missiles that would destroy the entire world. So you're welcome...I decided to get up for humanity.

I did for certain as a child take credit for things taken care of in the house that I had no part in.

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit Of course...everyone's done it at some point...I was curious at who would actually deny it, lol. Was there a reward at stake that made you think you should do it? Or just recognition?

@SW-User It was attention, my dad worked a lot and so any chance I could get for him to smile at me or hug me before he went to sleep made me happy. I eventually started actually doing stuff which was better than just saying so :)
