no, really... which 'idiot' light is it? and your make of car how reputable are those alert lamps?
norms are oil, gas and transmission fluid. ummmm.. when was the time of last you had a check up on OIL... tranny fluid and gas ? like gas filter and the air filter?
how are your seals?
OH and spark plugs and if you have a hybrid car get that examined.
and the batteries.. most bats are ok but the seals, seats and assembly could be a future fire starter.
and the brake lines plus master cylinder.
also, bad gas can make havoc.
