I always regret giving people the benefit of the doubt

I used to until I had a mindset change... what others do is on them and has zero to do with me. I did what felt right by forgiving, and they f'd it up... that's on them, not me.

It's reached back and bit me quite often

Yeah, me too. My gut instinct is often right about people, but I feel bad not giving them a chance. I should quit doing that, lol.

I don't usually regret giving people the benefit of the doubt. My doing that is always for my benefit, not theirs, anyway.

I don't, instead it's nice surprise when they turn out to be really good...

I'm a natural cynic, I step back and observe
