Do you regret any relationships you been involved in? [I Took A Chance, No Regrets, Despite An Unfavorable Outcome]

Or have they shaped you into the cynical, crasy, hilarious, borderline alcoholic beautiful soul you are today? ❤️
4meAndyou · F
It's odd...when I look back at my three marriages I only really regret the first one, because it set my life on a path from which I didn't fully recover. The other two were very bad, but from my second marriage, I have my son. And from my third marriage I have the memory of the love I felt for the ex in the early days, before he went nuts. That is ALWAYS what I remember...the goodness of it.
Trippy · F
@4meAndyou Metaphorically biting into that first apple... Perhaps those there after never taste the same. Be it initial bliss or perpetual pain. In the end it maybe remains the gifts left behind that deserve our focus.... Otherwise those moments taken simply use you ❤️
Adstar · 56-60, M
Yes.. I don't think anyone gets through life without those kinds of regrets.. The best policy is to simply accept life and people are not perfect and so like and people are going to let you down.. Things are not fair in this world.. People who are too idealistic suffer the most when the world and it's people let them down..

But the truth is that everyone will let down others from time to time.. No one is perfect..
Magenta · F
@Adstar Excellent response.
People who are too idealistic suffer the most when the world and it's people let them down..
We expect too much from humans and romance them into something they are not.
Trippy · F
@Adstar Acceptence perhaps the best answer to most of life's problems 🤔
Adstar · 56-60, M
@Trippy Well definitely the ones we have no real control over..

If one has a problem that can be rectified by taking action then we should work to overcome it.. But getting all stressed and depressed over things we have no real control over just doubles the suffering, it's just adding another nail in our coffin..

Regret staying as long as I did but wouldn’t have learned as much about myself, good and bad, if I hadn’t.
Trippy · F
@summersong Been there as well ❤️

Yes I regret one in particular. Only good thing is I will never have a relationship like that again and I never did. Lessons learned!

@SW-User made u to who u r
I feel its better to have loved and lost to be honest and it's very strange that i'd say that after everything i've been through and counquered but yes indeed. it is.

most people these days would probably have trouble relating to that idea but I mean it.

my only regret is that I lashed out at them when things were over. that was immature. I eventually moved on and am on the ride all over again though....
Trippy · F
@BetweenKittensandRiots Lessons learned indeed. Especially once history begins to repeat itself perhaps ❤️
@Trippy oh god yes my teenage self was quite the drama king some worthless losers would say I'm still a drama king but they're very wrong...

I mean the kinds of shit that happened with her.... ugh... cringe.

Let's just say the first basically picked up on my affections for others because I wasn't able to keep secrets very well I like to gab still kind of do but it turns really difficult to keep things from someone you love that way.

so since was distance thing she said she'd leave if I didn't let her date boys in person and so I found someone closer to home myself and we spent about 6 weeks together before I realized I actually was truly deeply serious about her and couldn't rationalize things to myself anymore and had to come clean about what had happened and got dumped and in the backlash to all that bullshit I took it out on her and basically told the guy she was dating about us because I was mad that she could keep a secret but my sense of remourse was too powerful to actually do it.

Today I might in a lot of fights/debates with people on facebook and youtube about all kinds of things and get kinda salty about it but honestly I don't really do what I do looking for fights.

I am dismissive of peoples concerns because I don't believe they have reached them from a valid place for instance and often get dog piled because people are oh so convinced they're reasonalbe to be concerned about like voter fraud and I beg to differ.

but that's totally different and for the most part I usually end up blocking a lot of people who Are free to go cry in their rooms about their invalid concerns because I have better shit to do than worry about what they're "concerned" about.

Alas though, I Hate drama. IT's just that drama is very popular.

sadly. I wanted to think other people were like me but they're not. They want to see fights and shit on Facebook.

it's sad.

there's really nowhere near the same amount of starting fights that don't need to be had in a intimate relationship as there were though.

in love i've learned to be very careful about which fights I pick with my love.

I have lots of regrets about relationships — they ended badly, or didn't go as far as I would have liked, or whatever — but I can't think of any relationship I've had that I genuinely regret having had.
Trippy · F
@DunningKruger Can't beat an attitude like that ,sir ❤️

Magenta · F
Hmm, borderline. I have regrets about myself with one.
