This video explains what you have described in a very detailed way. AJ (the guy in the video ) has broken down why we see things or feel presence of things in dark. [media=https://youtu.be/tsKqJay4ZRE]

@Nightwings I have experienced that too. Have you ever woken up then went back to sleep and resumed the same dream?
Nightwings · 31-35, F
@DareToSayIT Usually my dreams do this thing where they change, yet they don't really. Let's say a dog was trying to get to me to bite me in a dream, I wake up and when I go back to sleep it's a new dream in a new place, but there's some strange underlying feeling I can't shake, and then the exact dog shows up again. Honestly that's the creepiest kind of nightmare to me. 😅

@Nightwings Damn, I hope the dog doesn’t look
Like Cujo

Dreams are so random and other worldly 👀, I understand what you’re saying … for me personally I like banter or something light hearted after reading a good psychological thriller. It’s that easy tone mental break I need after going somewhere dark or sometimes I stay there and listen to dark music 🎶 just processing feelings until I move on with a pop song lol 🥳

Horror movies do not give me nightmares but I heard eating black licorice does. Watching Bad Moon right now. A real good movie.
Nightwings · 31-35, F
@shinyplasticlove My question was if they stop nightmares for other people too lol. Funny enough I did eat quite a lot liquorice candies about the same time the streak of nightmares started, no way that's true though?
shinyplasticlove · 51-55, M
@Nightwings Might wanna research that. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I found out that i can control my dreams so i think about whatever it is i want to dream about and i haven't had any nightmares since.

Wallflow3r · 31-35, F
I don’t really get nightmares but I have trouble falling asleep after watching a scary movie
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
Usually the opposite. Though the only style that actually gives me nightmares is zombie. The others are just stressful to watch.
Nightwings · 31-35, F
@ViciDraco Why zombies?
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
@Nightwings don't know. I can read about them. I have listened to a podcast about the complete lore of resident evil. But if I see a zombie movie or play a zombie game (horror, not like plants vs zombies) more often than not I'll have a zombie related nightmare.
Nightwings · 31-35, F
@ViciDraco That is interesting, it must tap into something that's part of your subconscious.
Kiesel · 56-60, M
I never watch em
