Do you have any recurring dreams?

I have a few, my most common one though is where im in college and struggling to pass the classes in my last semester so i can graduate.

Its so weird. Ive had this dream at least once a year since being out of college. It happened again last night.

The Cold Man: Evil entity, has that creepy calm, yet threatening demeanor. Rarely came after me directly, but apparently random people. I try to stop him, sometimes I succeed, sometimes I fail miserably.

The Dark Basement: Not always a literal basement, but always underground, sometimes a cave. Very gloomy, all light is muted, colors are dull, atmosphere is oppressively sad. Often other people are there, and they're defeated, hopeless. Sometimes, there is another presence, unseen, lurking, dangerous. Always feels like I'm never getting out.

The Malfunctioning Portal: Could be an elevator, a teleporter, an archway, something designed to go from one place to another. I go through it, but something goes wrong. I end up in a strange place with literally nothing there. Just a perfectly flat, barren landscape as far as the eye can see. I immediately know there is no way back, and I'm stuck there forever.

All three of these have been apparently defeated, as I haven't had any of them for about 15 years now. I HAVE had dreams of what was the Dark Basement, but every since my last technical DARK Basement dream, where halfway through it, I found the object I was frantically looking for in it and everything changed to light and joyous, It's no longer dark, the hopelessness is gone, the people there are now vibrant and happy, and that other presence is nowhere to be found.
@SarahAndSamantha I have a basement one as well, usually with nasty hidden spiders and webs everywhere, but not really a basement, instead it's a childhood friend's lower floor of the split level ranch house he grew up in, or a variation of it.
