I totally understand because I had that happen in my old little farmhouse a couple of times before the old septic system failed. Now with the new home I am building about 50 yards up a steep hill from my new septic tank and system with even the old farmhouse I still use until I complete the new one and move into it is up hill from my septic tank/system. I have no more bad dreams or experiences about this, because the new septic tank system is up hill from the state route now and not beside the old farmhouse. So, as they say shit runs downhill, so will my overflow be flooding the state route and not my home. Oh, the benefits of being up hill. LOL

@Tennessean I know Tennessee well and it is hilly to mountainous, so I feel you being I am in the Southern foothills to the Appalachian Mountains here in very Southern, Ohio.

Our basement did end up with toliet backing up... Now we are facing replacing pipes we spent over 400 to get unclogged and cleaned up.
It's more scary in real life 😖

@HappyCamper74 uh oh hope it's not a premonition. Hope the Universe is not telling me that my septic tank is really full.
