Get involved with life....a sure fire winning strategy..
Go out meet people, call everyone in your contacts list and watch tv. Thats what I did.

Most of my adult life. I just kinda got used to it but it gets to me every now and then
Day by day. Do things that I enjoy. Just keep going.
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
There’s times it gets to me do I stay busy. Otherwise I have learned to embrace it.

Yes very much so, I am good being by myself but I need at times to do things differently. I walk outside and go where people are. I have a cafe at a coffee shop and I exchange perhaps a small conversation with someone.
You can be surprised too how people engage. Not everyone of course..

Exercise is a great way to make you feel connected to the world.

Caring for pets too, and focusing on improving the things around your workplace or home.

Yes. When I start to notice the silence around me, when it starts to creep in and consume and become a thing, I try to fill that too quiet of a space with something else. Music. The sound of the woods. Plates in my gym clanking. Laughter from the corner of a dive bar.

Music has saved my life many times. Music has never broken my heart.

Yes but not anymore

Talking to people online. They're as real as anyone. Not as good as face to face maybe but you can't always have that. You can do volunteer work as well. They'll be all sorts of people to be around. Of course you can be in the middle of a creosote flat and not be loanaly. Or you can be at a party and be very loanaly. Odd how that works.

i navigate it poorly
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Still now and then but it's neither frequent nor that intense. I remember the worst loneliness when I was about 15 and craved for desired social interaction the most but there was nobody interested in stuff that interested me. Back then I went to high school and found new people. I also compensated through online interactions. A habit that still lasts.

Every moment of the day. I just accept it as a truth and keep moving forward.
val70 · 56-60
Good question. Not by blocking anyone on here just because one wants the perfect group, but that's self-evident. I navigate it by prayer and in the past by long distance running. Take those up if you want. Only needs something to get your brain out of thinking bad. One is never lonely. take care!

I end up doing things to manifest a connection and keep myself busy until I stumble across one. Then I end up regretting the connection and the cycle repeats.

First wallow,
Then get up and indulge myself in distractions
CallMeWhatever · 22-25, FNew
All the time. Sometimes I try to distract myself but it never really works.
Cremosa · F
Growing up, yes. Into childhood and teen years up to my early 20’s and mid.

As an adult I prefer it and hate people now.

Again... I've been single since we had those stimulus checks 🙄🙄🙄 Sorry don't mean to sound "Harsh" But that's life... 🤷🤷🤷
I just distract myself as much as possible. Not sure it’s the healthiest coping mechanism but it does stop me from spiraling
