Tips for living alone?

I may need to live alone this year and it causes me anxiety. I don't mind a few days alone, sure. But to live permanently alone kind of scares me. I have PTSD so I'm really wary of Little sounds, I'm overly hyper vigilant on my surroundings, so I fear an intruder, if they knowing I live alone. I am scraping by financially so I'm not sure how I can afford rent living alone... I would like to get disability ( I have very chronic PTSD) to help me but I know they deny you several times. So I feel helplessbut I'm really needing to not live anymore in my current place/space. Any tips living alone?
