What is the most hard learned thing for you?

AbbeyRhode · F
That anyone, or anything, could be taken from us in a heartbeat, so we should be thankful for what we have today, and cherish the people we care about.

@AbbeyRhode

Absolutely. Of the dozens and dozens of deceased people I know, the vast majority became deceased with less than a 5 minute warning.

From John Prine's "Please don't bury me":

"Woke up this morning
Put on my slippers
Walked in the kitchen and died
And oh what a feeling!
When my soul went through the ceiling
And on up into heaven I did ride..."

To put boundaries on people with self centered tendencies even relatives
Anger and bitterness are poison, and ruin your life, health, relationships, and everything. There is no keeping it to yourself. It always finds its way out to effect everyone and everything you come in contact with. “From out of the heart, the mouth speaks.”

That all life lessons are not easy but without them we never grow as a person.

🤔 That it's easier to kill the light within, than it is to fight the darkness without.

my relationship with my ma
Not a thing but anyway
It's most precious

That even if love in terms of being in love is IMO a must for a relationship, not even love itself is always enough.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
In recent times ?
Probably that for all the advancements in my lifetime. From landing on the moon to invitro fertilization, all the amazing things the best of man has created, can be effectively written off as worthless if one idiot in power over others decides that embracing the diseased dollar in the diseased carriers pocket is worth more than you the guy who helped put that decision maker in power in the first place !
When I didnt know how to do something I should just ask how and learn how instead of trying to do it not knowing or just not doing it. I never would have learned what I needed for work and for living. Found that most true craftsmen dont mind letting me watch how they do their thing. I may never need to do that but it helped me in design and style.
Simple as asking.
Everything is an illusion of our own making.
