is this a fair statement.......?
moms were always better than dads at reading and assessing their (especially teenaged) kid's emotions and thoughts.
...i remember when i was about 15 and madly in love with a girl. i remember one day just curled up on the couch thinking about her. mom came to me and said .... "you're in love, aren't you?" i lied and said no... she replied "i know you are" .....i thought to myself, how the eff did she know that? dad never would have figured it out. there were other situations growing up where mom's "spidey" senses just knew stuff and dad was oblivious
