Most human beings aren’t intelligent enough to think past tribalism.
Trump gets shot, Republicans blame the Democratic Party. Because that’s what the right wing media has taught them to do.
No nuance or opinions of substance. Just tribalism.
Give into your tribalism and support Trump at all cost.
The truth is we’re all human beings and we all want what’s best for our country. We just disagree on how to get there. But to carry yourself with that level of tact; takes a worldly perspective and emotional maturity.
Which again, most people don’t have.

@QueenOfZaun It never used to be this way, until the Clinton 90's, Hillary startednit all with her "vast right wing conspiracy" rhetoric, we all used to get along cordially and respectfully. Ronald Reagan and Tip O'Neill used to get together every sunday night they could to discuss the next week's schedules on the Congressional dockets., Pelosi looks at Trump with dagger eyes.

@QueenOfZaun maybe it was just part of the victim- triumphant show.
I wont watch again. And I know most people have no idea how much danger this country is in, so they can act like that.
Its a triumphant-show is all.

@QueenOfZaun I don't blame the liberal media, honestly. I think CNN, MSNBC, and basically the "fake news" (as called by trump) is not responsible. If you really wanna know who I blame (other than the shooter, of course) it would more so be the internet, and the fact that being exposed to an echo-chamber where homicidal rhetoric becomes second nature is assessable in a way it wasn't before.

@NativePortlander1970 No, Trump started it all. If Bernie had been elected instead of Hillary, what a beacon of hope, tolerance and progression America would have been!

@SW-User wasn't it a Bernie supporter that shot up the congress baseball game?

@SW-User And that pisses me off to no end, Bernie would have won hands down, I supported him with everything I had, then he sold us out. This is how Trump won '16, Hillary's 90's rhetoric was in full battle mode.

@NativePortlander1970 Yup, Bernie would have annihilated Trump sadly
@SW-User And I would have been thoroughly happy with Bernie, BUT NO, hillary was ONLY thinking of herself, NOT America or We the People, a "It's MY turn" whine like Veruca Salt in Willy Wonka.
@SW-User I am a true old school Liberal Socialist, when it actually meant something, reading the US Constitution and Bill of Rights I am thoroughly convinced the founding fathers endorsed and embraced Socialism, but I am no leftist.

@QueenOfZaun There's a certain amount of irony in speaking of Donald Trump and a lack of public nuance, in the same breath.
