@Pfuzylogic so let me give a tiny backstory here..i am friends with a 21 yr old who claiiims she is seeing a 36 yr old, who used to be her HS teacher. she says it didnt begin till she initiated it at 19. HOWEVER, more and more details are coming to light..and it turns out he has groomed her since she was 14. he is now 45, so 24 years older than her. he has guns in every cabinet, holes punched in their walls where they live together, is very controlling, and even put his dick up on the granite countertop and threatened to chop it off. he then brought the knife down, without looking to see if his dick was right there, missed it by a hair, and broke the entire granite countertop. so we have to be extremely careful how we bring this guy down. bc if he gets fired, he is likely going to bring his anger even further down on her..and it will be a reign of terror, if not a terminal decision.

@Pfuzylogic also..the girl we know who is dating him (21 now..14 when he started grooming her and i didnt know her)..specifically mentioned that when she tries to keep diaries, "they always get found and used to humiliate her". this was the FIRST night i met her, that she told me this, and not in the context of him. but i am putting 2 and 2 together.

If this story is what you're referring to in the question you've posted I can tell you that regardless of gut reactions, legally this is a minefield that blows everyone up - Including anyone out to take down the "groomer".

Time has turned whatever the interraction may have been into a relationship between consenting adults - and frankly it's likely the potential key witness would not be cooperative.

Unhealty - definitely.
Criminal - not so sure.

@GuiltyBiStander exactly right..but where i am concerned is that he is giving out his snapchat to a whole host of other potentials right now. if she wants to stay with him and be abused, it will sadden me but so be it. we need to take down the fact that other kids stand to get hurt.

I shared what would be a standard procedure for a student concerned about being blackmailed in the future.
The extending information does change everything. The past grooming falls into unprovable behavior and one must focus on countering any current criminal behavior.

@Pfuzylogic yes that is what we are trying to do..but none of us are still in high school..we just know he is likely still doing it. so i want to express my concerns, but not have it fall back on my friend in any capacity. she is likely to stay with him, regardless. she even left the group chat 😪

You can’t guess on criminal activity.
That won’t fly in court.
It does sound like he needs monitoring though.
