I Hate Being Lied to
It's a difficult thing to forgive. I may have gotten better at forgiving, but I still find it to be a struggle to give liars a second chance.

I used to give out second chances too easily. Now I never give second chances. I, honestly, don't think liars deserve second chances. It's really not that hard to tell the truth.

It's not always so clean cut. Sometimes they lie because they believe they are protecting you. Or because they (wrongfully) assume you would lash out and hurt their feelings if you knew the truth. But I agree, lies should not be forgiven easily, and lies that are repeated - never.

Yeah, there are different types of lies - but a lie is a lie to me. Whether they're lying to protect my feelings or lying just for the fun of it, I won't give them another chance. If I give them nothing but honesty, there's no reason they can't do the same. I've been burned too many times and I don't put up with it anymore. That doesn't mean I won't forgive, for my own sake. But forgiving someone doesn't mean I'll let them back into my life.
