I'm still here. This can happen anytime in your life, though for many like myself, as we grow older we see our loved ones pass on.
I had family, friends that spoke a greatly about loss, death, grief acceptance of their love in our hearts.
This is not an easy subject, but it is something family ought to talk about because it inevitably happens.Even though I do miss them greatly, their memories, wisdom and love will sustain me till I meet them in my passing. To me, the word forever doesn't exist...we would say,see you later.I wish you, peace.

I would have to constantly tell myself "when a door closes, another one will open". Like friends come and go, when one chapter ends, a new one begins... But at the same time it's not a good thing to let your happiness depend on other people. It solely depends on yourself, and that's the main thing to focus on, always. Whoever is or isn't in your life. And we all need time to get over losses, and to some that takes longer than to others.

As a generalization man tends to adapt to his circumstances pretty well.
Many folk grow up in care or in care of extended family having never known family or friends. So i guess that's possible.
Quite what it does to your psychological state is a question.
sounds like the plot for Brave new world ~ Aldous Huxley

hi AliceInBlunderland
Life lives despite such changes of circumstances. This has been well illustrated and people recover. Defies comprehension doesn't it!
Best wishes

I believe I would find happiness again, the same way I believe anyone who cherishes me would find that same happiness if I were to disappear forever.
Life is what you make of it so I'd still go on
