Have you ever paid for a dog sitter?

And what is your thoughts on us just leaving our dogs in the backyard with food and water? They have a dirt pile and they have shade where the patio is. Plus it only be not even 24 hours.

We’re thinking about going on a short little drive to Arkansas tomorrow and then back home so we should be gone for like 18 hours

It would not work with my beagle because she would eat all of the food as soon as you set it out. I don't know what kind of problems that would cause. If it's not too hot, I would consider doing it if someone stopped in to feed them and check their water. Of course, that assumes they are used to staying outside. If not, I wouldn't do it.

We have used sitters, usually family or friends. mixed results, lost a hamster.... did a kennel for a week for our dog, was not happy with the place.
