Do you have any experience with flea infestations? The dogs have acquired a terrible case of fleas. Everything we are doing just isn't enough

No. Thankfully all the cats that I have had, including my current one, have never had fleas.

We did years ago. Fleas were in the lawn and in the carpet. Our vet recommended a treatment that worked on the dog and the surroundings.

place a heat source over a bowl of water. incandescent light bulb if you can find one. fleas are attracted to the moisture and drown in the water. good for getting tham out of carpets and furniture. we use store bought Advantix <sp> on dogs and cats about every 6 weeks during the warmer months.

Dawn dishwashing liquid will work on the dogs

When my dogs were still alive, one of them had a pretty bad flea allergy. Like one flea could wreak havoc. Simparica was amazing for us.
Last year my parents’ dog was having flea issues. Seresto had worked for years, and wasn’t working anymore. They kept trying to capstar followed by new medications and nothing was keeping up. I told them to try Simparica, and their dog hasn’t had a flea in months.
You can also use capstar and simparica at the same time, for some instant relief.

The tablets always work pretty quickly and if you have carpets maybe bomb those.
