What was the most horrifying experience you've ever been in? As the title says.

Hospital resus when a patient goes into cardiac arrest and full CPR is given. Difficult not to hear everything.

My son collapsed before his baseball game, I was screaming for help, he suddenly couldn't walk or stand on own.
Spent the next week in ICU.

My dad having his 5th stroke, I watched for him in ICU, on the other room was my cousin in the ICU, and my sister in law in the OB cause she lost her baby.

They all didn't make it.

When my wife was in ICU and crashed. I saw a team of doctors and technicians working on her, and all I could do was pray. She came out of it okay, but those were horrifying moments.

In 2023 my life changed forever, gerd then sleep apnea and COPD and heart palpitations then my heart stopping on July that year and I got a pacemaker implant the next day and then in early 2024 I had a chest infection and edimas from heart failure and then chronic constipation. I feel traumatized. I really don't like my 30s.

All these things because I have Muscular Dystrophy, but it was not this hard till 2023

Sleep paralysis: after arriving in a foreign country exhausted and having a long sleep, I woke up paralyzed. I could not move or utter a sound. Now I know that this is a thing that can happen when your sleepy mind and your body are momentarily out of synch, and when I've had similar experiences (fortunately not often) I did not panic. But at the time I had no idea what was happening to me.

Saw a neighborhood girl fall out of a Jeep in front of our house when I was 10 yrs old. Jeep driver swerved to avoid a dog running out into the street and the motion caused her to fall as she did not have her seatbelt on and there were no doors on the jeep. She landed on her head, was seriously injured, but recovered.

I saw a little boy get hit by a car, he was screaming for his mommy and then went limp, according to the newspaper at the time he died in the ambulance…
The poor driver was inconsolable, the boy just darted out in traffic.

I'm not sure. Perhaps it was back on the 11th of July 2022. I overdosed and was taken to hospital. My memories of that night are fragmented but I can remember my heart rate being at 200 and an overwhelming sense of raw terror.

What seemed like a spiritual attack. I was overcome by an overwhelming sense of impending doom and couldn't sleep for an entire week. In all that time I was completely terrified but not tired. My body wasn't begging to go to sleep. I was suddenly an adult mortified of the dark. I was always 110 percent alert the entire week without sleep.

I took no recreational drugs prior.
