My son collapsed before his baseball game, I was screaming for help, he suddenly couldn't walk or stand on own.
Spent the next week in ICU.

My dad having his 5th stroke, I watched for him in ICU, on the other room was my cousin in the ICU, and my sister in law in the OB cause she lost her baby.

They all didn't make it.

My daughter having croup and struggling to breathe

My son having milk protein allergy as a baby and being miserable and ill until the doctor figured it out and got him on a specialized formula

Telling the doctors to stop trying to revive my oldest son, massive asthma attack and due to the time without oxygen

Respect to Ambulance drivers, doctors and nurses who did everything to try and save his life

When my wife was in ICU and crashed. I saw a team of doctors and technicians working on her, and all I could do was pray. She came out of it okay, but those were horrifying moments.

Saw a neighborhood girl fall out of a Jeep in front of our house when I was 10 yrs old. Jeep driver swerved to avoid a dog running out into the street and the motion caused her to fall as she did not have her seatbelt on and there were no doors on the jeep. She landed on her head, was seriously injured, but recovered.

I was forced to defend my children from a druggie who broke into our home.
It was traumatic for both of them. They experienced nightmares for years. Probably still do, so do I

I saw a little boy get hit by a car, he was screaming for his mommy and then went limp, according to the newspaper at the time he died in the ambulance…
The poor driver was inconsolable, the boy just darted out in traffic.

Hospital resus when a patient goes into cardiac arrest and full CPR is given. Difficult not to hear everything.

Having a really bad reaction to weed

What seemed like a spiritual attack. I was overcome by an overwhelming sense of impending doom and couldn't sleep for an entire week. In all that time I was completely terrified but not tired. My body wasn't begging to go to sleep. I was suddenly an adult mortified of the dark. I was always 110 percent alert the entire week without sleep.


I took no recreational drugs prior.

When my ex wife lost our son eight and a half months into her pregnancy. I lost it.

Almost losing my son when he was about a year old. He had salmonella.

Having a friend commit suicide

My body attacked my brain, lungs, and kidneys when I was 22.

Listening to my father spend his last few hours gasping at breath as he died from brain cancer.

When she went away

Being born naked in front of a bunch of strangers. It made me cry!

Watching my child be resuscitated, more than once.

Being held hostage for several hours while being told I was going to die.

Not easy to choose only one

I choked on some food and went two minutes without air. Scared me pretty good.
