God gave us free will, so we do make choices on our own, sometimes choices that hurt us or aren’t wise.

But His love isn’t conditional on us making perfect choices. He doesn’t say, “Well, you didn’t listen, so you’re on your own now.”

Instead, even when you’re driving toward something that won’t end well emotionally, or even physically risky, He still stays beside you, quietly protecting, guiding, whispering, “Come back, beloved.”

If God knows everything, you can't have free will with predeterminism, because everything has not happened, is about to happen, is happening and has happened, all at the same time, from the point of view of a being outside of time observing time. The being that started the ride has caused all bad things to happen, and that is immoral and therefore bad.
